I honestly dont know what happened over the years. The ER has slacked tremendously. Two months ago i came in with a horrible cough (which i still have) i didnt know i had ILD they took a ct scan and made me wait 6 hours to tell me to go home and take cough medicine. Bedside manner was very dismissive to the point i cried to the nurse. She was helpful and brought the attending to me. The attending explain the proper diagnosis and sent me home with a referral. I wish that the level of compassion for others was taken in consideration. When making appointments . And following up with the patients for their medical needs as I was told. I had to call myself and follow up on my medical appointment for the wheelchair clinic myself... Because no one called me to follow up on this matter..... You guys can do better to ensure that moving forward.
Horrible experience. Brought my wife in who was coughing up blood, could barely breathe and was in horrible pain. She was severely mistreated. Thrown into a hallway and none of the staff cared that she was in immense pain. Despite her pain and crying they just continued to mistreat her. Told her we’re leaving and drove to Saint. Joseph hospital in Yonkers where she got better care.
