I saw Dr. Pounds as a young adult with severe anxiety. He told me I “simply needed to use my rational mind” and “think more logically” in response to my anxiety. If I could simply switch this way of thinking, I wouldn’t be seeing a psychiatrist in the first place. Overall, he was very dismissive and invalidating of the experiences I have had.
One of the worst doctors I have ever been to. Doesn’t care about his patients at all. You could tell he just wanted to get done with the appointment. He just doesn’t listen to what you are saying. I would never recommend him to anyone.
Due to receiving help from my primary care doc for getting off of Kratom I was completely refused help for my severe ADHD. Dr. Pounds did not read my updated care from my last appointments, with which I receded to a very deep depression due to being pulled from stimulants for an addiction I didn't even know I had. Had multiple urgent care visits and my life was falling apart. After receiving care from my primary and notifying Pounds DURING OUR APPT OVER A MONTH LATER I was shown the door.
