Great Martinis – I wanted to surprise my husband with dinner and tickets to Blue Man Group for our anniversary. I read a review about this restaurant and took a chance. We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere was intimate. The restaurant has been newly decorated which added to the total enjoyable time. We live on the opposite side of town but will definately take the trip again. Highly recommended.
Wow! – My girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprise with Jacks! We went there before a party in boystown and had always heard it was great. We ordered the lobster risttoa (as an appetizer) 8 different martinis which were all great, and some fish. Everything was great. We'll definitely be back!
Can I Get Good Service in Boystown? – Jack's has not disappointed me at dinner or brunch for the quality of food. The brunch crowd fills about 60% of the dining room, but waiters and waterboys only make two to three appearances on the floor per hour.
Eclectic.... – I have enjoyed Jacks many times, and it has become one of our favorite restaurants. The classy patrons, food and atmosphere make Jacks a classy place for either dinner or just a quick drink for friends before heading out for some partying.
I love this place – I've eaten here often. The food is incredible. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I'll keep going back.
Meet for drinks – I have not dined here yet, but I have stopped in for drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Because it's primarily a restaurant, the noise level is conversation friendly; and the bar provides a great perch for people-watching. The bartenders and servers are amiable making everyone feel welcome.
Excellent wines, great filet of beef – The bartender here is someone to remember as a jewel, especially in a town where bad service seems to be something "servers" like to brag about. He served me quickly, without rushing me, the wines he recommended were unforgettable, and the beef filet was tender and juicy and just the right size. I thought the desserts were just WAY too much, although they were indeed tasty. Nice resturant for the neighborhood – Jack's serves as the nice resturant to go in the Lakeview / Boystown/ Wrigleyville neighborhood. The menu is interesting, service is fine, and the crowd tends to be eclectic. I would recommend the resturant if you want to spend an evening socializing in the neighborhood and want more than casual dining.
