Been going there more years Than I'm willing to admit. Never had a problem until this visit server was the rudest server I have encountered in years. Was still waiting over 20 minutes and saw people that were in line behind me were already eating So I asked her how long before our order comes out. She replied " it's only been 15 minutes ma'am " I told her I wasn't timing her just inquiring. She then told me that she would bring it out as when or was ready . Jack's is more of an institution than a restaurant. Jewish soul food. Some of the specialties are smoked fish, corned beef, barley soup, matzo ball soup, very good Russian pastrami, and the list goes on. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Yesterday we had a big family reunion there with a table for twelve and she took good care of us. Food was great. Highly recommended.
I love their cornedbeef sandwiches, juicy just the right amount. The prices are a bit steep but I don't get em very often.
Corned beef that melts in your mouth. And delicious matzoh ball soup.
