VERY FEW 99 CENT ITEMS, FALSE ADVERTISING – This use to be a great store, not anymore! almost every item in the store cost over $1. They should change their name to $1 to $10 store. Some bargains almost everything is now overpriced. Some items higher than the supermarkets! Serley, nasty, unfriendly cashiers! The store should run a class in good customer service for their cashiers!!!!

Jacks World is the place for cheap finds. Don't expect to buy anything of good quality at this place. Everything here is cheap, quick fixes. and lack of durability. They have everything from toys, batteries, office and party supplies, kitchen ware, house ware, curtains and even frozen food. I do not rely on their products, therefore do not visit this place often. When I do, its for things that I can't go wrong with. Things like a misc. notepad for jotting, eraser for my kid to take to school or a bag of plastic cups and pape... read more

The Heaven and Hell of Cheap – If you don’t know, now you know! This little (actually big) Native New Yorker secret in the heart of midtown is like a mega 99 cent store and grocery store combined. 99 cent stores are like New Yorker’s version of Walmart, except you never know what they will have at Jack’s (they often have leftovers from pricier stores, super-discounted), and they tend to, other than random leftovers, exclusively carry no-name product lines. I know the Jack’s store on 32nd St. has two floors- by far the bigges... read more

Jacks 99 cent store – With three floors of shopping, Jack's World/Jack's 99cent store has pretty much everything you might imagine you'd find at any typical 99 cent/discount store. But more of it, in a constantly changing array. It's got: food (dry goods, refrigerated & frozen), hardware, party supplies, hair accessories, seasonal decor, toiletries, luggage, bath supplies, kitchen ware, toys, electronics, etc. It's reliable for picking up basic household needs, and of course there's some tacky junk, but the real deals are th... read more

Great service, prices – Went in the day after New Year's to get some items to decorate my apartment; while every other "convenience" store (CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade) had already put up Valentine's decorations/products, Jack's still had leftover Christmas items for 1/5 the original price. I was able to get some great decorations for any time of the year at a very reasonable price. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful - even the security guy at the door joked with me and wished me a happy holiday - rare for New York... read more

Great low price selection on almost everything you could want!! – After stopping in Jack's tonight, I asked myself why I hadn't shopped there sooner. I went in looking for gift bags and ended up buying 5 of them at 50 cents each. They would have easily run $3-4 elsewhere! A great deal. I also bought tissue paper, crayons and coloring books, all 99 cents each. I wanted to buy more but figured there's always another time.
