My husband has been going there for at least 20 years and they were so good to him and then the last 3 years we drive a hour to get there and his appointment has been canceled! The time before that he got 30 minutes down the road and they canceled his appointment! They have done this now numerous time! This is supposed to be a professional facility? It has gone down! Go to Tulsa!
The help I have received at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, overall, has been pretty good. The issues I have had recently is the lack of communication between my Provider (PCP), her Nurses, and me; my PCP and the specialty teams; my PCP and the pharmacy, and possibly cultural retaliation that may be rooted in incompetence. After a visit with my PCP I leave feeling confident that every issue has been thoroughly discussed and a plan of action is in place. My favorite VA facility and it's only 5 minutes away.
Had to drive over an hour to get there and just to get told they couldn't do a procedure. Nurse had called and given me the wrong instructions for a colonoscopy, the guy checking in before never got prep instructions and had to reschedule. the nurse apologized and said it happens all the time then the Dr. blamed me for not prepping. The VA has a reputation for a reason and this place is it.
