Recommended3 1/2 years ago we were told that Hannah's open bite could not be corrected through orthodontics. She could not touch bottom teeth to top teeth, couldn't bite off pizza etc. The Orthodontist told us it was a structural issue and the only way to fix it was to put on braces and then have surgery to break her jaw, insert bone and wire her jaw shut to correct the bite.
