I want to share my experience so others are aware of the process at this practice. I was shocked to learn that Dr. Suhrer’s office has a policy of 'approving' patients for care, including an unspoken policy of refusing care to women with a history of anxiety or past mental health medications, without any meaningful discussion or collaboration. i HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR. SUHRER FOR MANY YEARS. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST DOCTORS IN JACKSONVILLE. HE LISTENS TO YOUR CONCERNS AND TELLS YOU EVERYTHING HE IS DOING.
Horrible experience. The doctor talks down to you like you have no clue what ( as a woman)is all completely normal and used to by this point is time. Completes invasive testing without patient knowledge testing that is not only unnecessary but not discussed with the patient. The doctor took it onto himself to order and complete tests that if a few simple questions had been asked would have been completely unnecessary.
Dr. Suhrer is an outstanding doctor! I've been going to him for 20 years. He's friendly and knowledgable and he genuinely cares about his patients. He takes time after each exam to address any health concerns and makes recommendations on how to improve your health. On two occasions in the past couple years, Dr. Suhrer has gone out of his way, even personally calling me on my cell phone, to help me in a time of need!!!Now that is extremely rare. You won't find a more friendly, caring doctor.
I highly recommend this Doctor he is not only extremely educated and thorough but he has a genuine care for his patients. He also finally found out why I have been having a certain issue in my first visit ( I had been to 2 different doctors in the past week). He explained my options and that is important. I never leave reviews but I just wanted other women to know that this Dr. is willing to help!! He also followed up with me personally on the phone the next day, and he did not have too. Thanks
