j&S cafeteria has been a tradition in Asheville for over 30 years. There's simply is not another choice that gives you comfort food like your grandmother used to make at such a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I fear that they are going to be closing soon since the crowds are thinning and the customers that do come there are getting much, much older. That is a shame. 07/22/2026 - still a solid place if you like southern cooking. The process have gone up a bit, but the food is still top notch.
