He performed excruciatingly painful surgeries & experiments on enslaved women with no asthesia. He saw my female ancestors as nothing, but property devoid of human emotion. He should not be celebrated no matter his contributions to gynecology.
JMS Foundation is a tremendous asset for Lancaster County. We are fortunate to have this community builder working everyday to make Lancaster a better place to live.
i do not want to believe that your 'foundation' supports in any capacity whatsoever J. Marion Sims's life. Change your foundation's name.
Do not honor this man who experimented on and tortured African American women. Horrific and wrong.
Asshole. Shameful what he did to my ancestors. Disgusting!
Are yall aware that J. Marion Simms perfected his surgical skills and experimets on female slaves without anesthesia? The sick son-of-a-bitch was quoted as saying "they dont feel pain". Either the creators of this foundation either had no idea what a vile, disgusting person this guy was or they knew and just didnt care. There are many, many alternative medical pioneers that you could have named this foundation after. Shame on you for choosing this sick animal.
J Marion Sims Foundation has a 3.3 star rating with 17 reviews.
J Marion Sims Foundation is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
