Dr. Downs did a great job of informing me of my prior tests and how the test he is going to do helps to see my situation better. He explained the procedure in detail and I have a lot of confidence in him
Excellent care and concern for me personally
I guess I just got unlucky because I see a lot of good reviews for Dr. Downs. Sorry to be so graphic, but a routine sort of Pap smear for the "other end" was extremely aggressive and painful and I bled for days. Then the results were inconclusive. Plus I had to call them for the results because I never received any notification after a good amount of time. Then there was even some sort of confusion about the results. I then went to Dr. Stringfield who said this sounded very unusual and I had no issues with her.
I had a great experience with Dr. Downs. The visit was never rushed. He took his time to do a thorough examination. He identified the problem that I was experiencing and explained his findings in a way that I could understand. I needed a surgery to correct my problem which was performed at Presbyterian Hospital. Dr Downs did the surgery. I went home the same day. I have had no pain and never took pain medication. My experience could not have been any better. And the staff at Presby Hospital were outstanding.
