If John Stooksbury and his company J. Kelley group are still taking money from people he should be ashamed of himself. We hired him to do a bathroom remodel in February and he took all of our money and never finished the job, claiming health problems that had him exit the construction business. When we had a new contractor come in we realized he never even hooked up our tub to any pipes. It’s a miracle our entire downstairs wasn’t destroyed due to John’s horrible neglect.

Run far away from this company. The owner laid off multiple employees and failed to pay them for 3 weeks of work. On top of that, the owner did not report wages and taxes correctly (if at all), thereby making all employees intelligible for unemployment. This doesn't even scratch the surface of the owners lying and thievery. Save your money and hire someone reputable.

They were remodeling our kitchen. In the process of installing the new up draft for the cooktop, they drilled into a sewage line in the ceiling. Sewage was draining into our Brand New island cabinets. The company owner was quick to show up to collect payments, but he was a NO SHOW after the sewage line was drilled into … so lame. We haven’t seen him since and he hasn’t returned our phone calls. We also found out he hasn’t been paying his employees!!! We had the worst experience. Before signing the contract they spoke very well and we felt confident. But it’s been 5 months and they have not completed the work after taking the payments. Very bad communication. They never answer the calls or respond promptly to emails after you have made the payment.
