About this business
Our company was founded by Mr. J. Frank Blakely in 1931. Prior to the Great Depression, Mr. Blakely had opened a branch of Huntington and Guerry Electrical Contractor in the Spartanburg area. As the nation's economy rebounded, Mr. Blakely decided to open his own electrical business. Under his leadership, the business prospered, and upon his death, in 1945, Mr. E. L. My boss might see this, lol.😁 Blakely has served Spartanburg for almost 90 years and projects include The Motgomery Building Renovation, Drayton Mills Elementary, Mary Black Hospital, Wofford College, USC Upstate, Converse College, Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, and Milliken, just to name a few. Great people to work for. They have several employees that have worked there anywhere from 10-40 years. Great benefits. They keep me busy and I look forward to many more year... read more
