About this business

J. Bestki’s serves Polish and German food in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Pierogies and schnitzel are star players of the generous menu, but there are also some surprises, like soy-sesame-spicy paprika marinade and bison flank steak. The management prides itself on using superior local ingredients, and the bread rolls are baked next door, the owner shops daily at the farmers market for greens, and the sausages are mixed and made on site. An excellent selection of beers and wines from Italy, Austria, and Germany compl... read more

Have been a couple of times since the pandemic started and the food has been great. Their menu is always changing, while keeping the core of some amazing favorites (the schnitzel is outstanding). They’ve even been willing and able to cook something special for my kids who have complex food allergies. Anyhow to the point of this review, last night I got pickup instead and was going to be driving for 20 minutes with it before eating. To be honest I was a little concerned with how schnitzel and scallops would keep for a drive l... read more

Absolutely phenomenal! The service and the food were top notch. Chef thinks outside the box, creating an eclectic dish that even our kids loved. Thank you... we will be back!

I’ve enjoyed J Betski’s twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Enjoyed the meals and the dining experience a lot both times. I look forward to going back.

Yet to have a bad meal here...I think the most reliable of the good restaurants of Raleigh. Solid, interesting wines, of course great beers, and wonderful cocktails.

I loved the food here. I believe it's the closest you're going to get to real German food in Raleigh.

Love J Betski's in normal times, but during Covid they are providing amazing meals, reasonably priced, taking great safety precautions. We had the savory chicken stew with spaetzle - amazing! Highly recommend!
