J. Alexander's is one of my favorite restaurants, but this location definitely impressed me. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left on a Friday evening everything was impeccable! Our hostess that sat us at the table was so warm and kind. Then our waitress Courtney was very kind, attentive, and friendly. Went in for dinner today. Bill was $59 and some change. I gave my server $80 and asked for change. Never came back and had to ask someone to get her. She then brought me back $1 and said I gave her $60 I disagreed and said she can show me. She went around the corner dug in her pockets and then came back with $60. Little suspicious. Will never be coming back shame on you.
I’ve been going to J. Alexander’s since high school, and I can honestly say I’ve never had anything less than an extraordinary experience. The star of the show is, without a doubt, their flame-grilled steaks, the New York Strip is my personal favorite. But the menu has plenty of standouts: the grilled salmon with orzo and wild rice is a close second, and if you’re not super hungry, the chicken pasta soup is legit good enough to be a full meal. My first time going and my experience was amazing! My boyfriend really out did himself picking this restaurant and the restaurant did not disappoint! The steak was juicy and tender, the chicken was perfection and the deviled eggs were so good! And please get you a lemon drop or three… ♥️
I went to J Alexander’s in Troy. I got me the Aji tuna was excellent. I ordered the Bernese steak fillet when they bring it out. It was cut in half only one they were trying to cheat me out of one so they come in a half that one was so burnt I sent it back and then they brought me two of them Was burned up like a hockey park.
