I set up an appointment in July and the earliest they could get me in does November 19th with a Dr Byers. Well November 19th rolls around and I go in for the appointment. Turns out, Dr Byers doesn't even work in gastrointerology. He is a cardiovascular doctor. So his office tells me it was rescheduled with Dr Boynton for that day at 2pm. Cool. I'm already here. Long post but informative about IU health care. Back in 2021, I noticed I started gaining a lot of weight around my stomach. I went from 109 to 145 in 4 months, and of course, I wasn't going to the bathroom regularly. ALWAYS looking 3 months pregnant and stomach was extremely hard. Those are noticeable signs. I have had several colonoscopies over the years and have never come to before during the procedure. I woke up about 3 times during the procedure. No anesthesiologist either. They are really difficult to get a hold of and even though they use the IU Health logo, none of their services are available using IU Health resources. Even their billing is outside of IU resources. I will NEVER use them again. I experienced negligence, pain, and suffering.
I can't say enough nice things about the staff and doctor!!!! Wonderful people who kept me informed and answered all my questions ♡
