I’ve been an IU health patient as long as there has been an IU Health. The people are great. My docs have been excellent. “The system” however has become incompatible with caring for patients!!! It’s too overly optimized to be able to interact with humans on a human level. The result is an uncaring and dehumanizing experience.
Dr. Teshima seemed nice to me at first, but that changed when I was dealing with denied health insurance claims. I was trying to get health insurance claims resolved for a relative with Dr. Teshima's help and one of my other family members even made an appointment to specifically speak with her. Dr. Teshima made referrals to specialists for my relative to determine what may have been causing their ongoing health issues, such as prolonged headaches. Believe the 3.2 rating this hospital is one of the worst hospitals through iu, denied to see my son for a well visit that they told me wrong time for.
Was impressed enough to leave a review which I rarely do… I haven’t had as thorough a check up since I was a kid and I’m in my mid-40’s… Dr Blocher-Smith did a great job walking me through my risk factors, he listened to my concerns and took his time. We also started on time which has been an issue at other doctors I’ve had in the past. The new facility and easy parking made the visit as pleasant as a visit to the doctors can be.
