We specialize in dog behavior and we look at things from the dogs perspective; we've created a stress free setting that includes a few very good-natured embassedor dogs to welcome your dog and allow you and your dog to relax. Our ranch style setting features a digging box, water play, and 3 acres for your dog to run and play with a dog loving staff! Come take a tour anytime, no appointment necessary.

LULu loves going to daycare and playing with her buds. She also loves the staff and is always happy to see them. we love the staff as well. They are all so nice and work with us on little behavior issues and provide training for dogs and their owners. It's a Dogs Life in Petaluma is awesome!

Today, after I picked up our 2 dogs from boarding, I forgot to get their medications. By the time I called them back to figure out a time to get the meds, they had already sent someone over to my house to drop them off! What awesome service! Also, my dog Comet went in looking pretty scruffy, whomever bathed him did an incredible job! One of the best grooming jobs I've ever seen on him. Thank you!

Very kind and knowledgeable staff that really “get” dogs. They don’t discriminate based on breed and really take pride in helping your pup grow and become more confident. My dog’s sometimes-overly-excited behavior has improved drastically since going there regularly and he is far more confident and less fearful. I love how the staff will share videos or picture of my pup playing and having a good time. Love this place so much!
Our 8 month Labradoodle stayed at It’s A Dog’s Life for an entire week while our family went away. After boarding her for a couple of days at another place and seeing how depressed she was afterwards, we were a bit reluctant. We first did a daycare day and she was so happy and tired once home. My dogs love it here. they start whining and jumping around as soon as we approach-even my codependant heeler mix gets excited. So great to be able to drop them off and know they are in such great care. Great to pick them up happy, healthy and tired out. Staff is amazing, we will be going here indefinitely.
