This place never fails us! Always excellent food and service. ..see you next time of course
Excellent service. What can I say about the food? Bravo! Ate here for the first time a year and a half ago, had the lasagne.Had to wait another year and a half before returning to Chicago and make certain that having the best lasagne I've ever eaten wasn't just a fluke. Yesterday at lunch I found out it wasn't. The depth of flavor is superb. Going back a second time before leaving Chicago.
My wife and I had dinner 2 years ago before attending a show at the Goodman Theater. We thought it would be a convenient location. We found the ambiance to be nice. The period in which they advertise as being the oldest Italian restaurant in Chicago. We ate in the street level restaurant. The service was just fair. Seeing as there were only 4 tables with guests, we would have thought we would have received better attention. Quality, tasty food in a warm, comfy environment. Excellent service, attentive wait staff and conveniently located.
I ordered delivery 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I decided to go there on my next trip. I wish I'd known about the stairs before I walked over there in the rain. With bad knees I had to turn around & leave when told there was no other way up to the restaurant.
