Gathering place for young and old. – Nice to see young people meeting up and in the next booth a young family with kids, and around the corner a older couple enjoying their evening out. Patrons and staff were friendly making this outsider feel welcome.
Hey, lets meet at Islands in Encinitas! – Islands in Encinitas has the best people working there. They make it fun to take the family out to eat or a place where friends can get together. Everyone had a great time and we will go there again and again.
Red Robin wannabe – I was curious so my wife and I tried it. The young tattooed and earinged waiter in shorts and a t- shirt was a liittle too casual as he squatted at the end of the table to take our order. I could see by the menu and " bottomless fries" this was really a "Red Robin" in a hula skirt. Not as lively an atmosphere as Red's ant as tasty a food either. And a little more pricier as well. Great burgers! – Great service & friendly staff plus the burgers are to die for! The location is very nice & view is great.
Great for Drinks! – I had hesitations, but was quickly shocked. We had barely no waiting, with menus stationed at our table. Good restaurant for drinks, food, and burgers. I enjoyed an appetizer of tender and yummy "Tiki Tenders" or chicken strips and some endless fries. Yum!
Fun place with good burgers and service – This is a casual fun burger joint with good sliders, beer and chicken fingers. The price is good and the servers are friendly and professional. A family restaurant so you might end up next to some screaming kids but you can always move so you can hear your conversation. We like to stop by mid afternoon. If you are looking for something quick and casual with good food and service this is it.
Poor service.... – We go to Islands in Manhattan Beach, but we decided to go to Torrance one this time. Waiters were snooty and need some customer service training. We sat at the tall table in the bar area. Yep, we sat there for 5 minutes and no one came to take our orders. Kid Friendly – Very kid friendly enviroment! Waiter was very nice. The wait for our food was about 30 minutes which was long, especially when you have kids. The food was good. We were seated right away, it was somewhat busy (we went on a Sunday evening). The waiter came by and asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his drink (when we were done with our dinner) and he said yes, at that time I asked for dessert and the bill, I didn't want to wait long again, all we ordered for dessert was ice cream for the kids and it still... read more
Wow...What a Burger!!! – You must go to Islands in Burbank. It is by far the best burger in LA! Get a Hawaiian Burger and fries and you are in Paradise. Always fast and friendly service with great atmosphere. The burgers are juicy and fries are the best! Highly recommended!
