Burgers were great!! Kobb salad was awful and I almost sent it back. I’m not picky at all but this was bad. Half a hard boiled egg, a tiny sliver of avocado, forgot the blue cheese crumples, and at best a piece of bacon crumpled up. Lots of fresh lettuce and balsamic dressing was good. The chicken was not the juicy chicken breast you would find on a bun but rather some kind of carved deli meat. If we go back I will not get a salad.
We love the Islands Restaurant. It has always been a family favorite. We were so bummed when they closed the one at metro center. It's quite a drive, so we don't get to go as often as we would like.
I took my grandson yesterday. I wanted the cheese fries until I looked at the calories. Almost 3,000! Most of the burgers were very high in calories. We ended up with a salad and the fish tacos. Food here has always been expensive. Too high in price. I probably won't be back for a few years.
We go here more often than anyplace else to eat. The food is always spectacular and the service has never been horrible like some places.
