Stayed here for a 14 month lease term and barely had any issues. I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews, because I never experienced any of it. Maybe it depends on what building or living style. My bf and I worked a lot and not from home, and we both loved it here. I was in building A and always felt safe. Street parking was easy and QFC is across the street which made it super convenient. Parks are nearby. Everything is walkable. Gym was fully equipped with a sauna. If I could give this property zero stars, I would. The same elevator that had been out of service for approximately 45 days, was supposedly repaired, and then put back into service is the very elevator I became trapped in for over an hour. I had to be rescued by the fire department. It was one of the most frightening experiences of my life, and I have not used the elevator since. I now take the stairs because I no longer trust it. We've stayed at Island Square for 1 year. 2 years after moving out I received an email from collection agencies about 70$ payment for some utilities, I never received any email about it from island Square before. The billing office of the complex never responded to my request to resend me the copy of the email, they never sent it earlier, just simply decided to waste my credit record ! The entire year we didn't have access to the pool, it was on construction, access to common guest house was open for 3- 4 months before that ... read more

Strict and inflexible management. A 10% late fee is charged immediately with no grace period, even for minor delays, while communication is inconsistent (rent reminders stopped without notice). After maintenance, my door was left unlocked — management only apologized and offered no real accountability. Elevators also break down frequently. For the price, this level of service and safety is concerning.
