I've rented trucks and now storage space from Laura on a few occasions. This is a remarkable business. My experience with moving truck and storage companies is mixed at best. With a competitor on the mainland, I recently waited about an hour while a clearly over-taxed employee rushed from truck to customer to backroom back to customer. It was tragic and time-consuming. I wasn’t sure about renting on the island, because I figured it would be expensive, and guess what? It is! That said? The woman who works at the Glacier west storage place on vashon? She makes it worth it. They don’t have much available, though there is turnover, but that says something to me. People rent here! I had paintings and things that needed climate control to survive.
