November 10th, the day of hurricane Nicole. We had not evacuated during this storm since it was only supposed to be a category one hurricane and my husband still had to work. I slept until about 9:30 and walked outside to see how high the water was. It was pretty high at that time but at this point I couldn’t do anything so I was stuck in my apartment.
