We are on automatic delivery. Our last delivery before winter was November 7, and we did not receive a December delivery. In January, our tank reached an empty reading and we had to request an urgent delivery. Oil was eventually delivered and the immediate issue was resolved. As of February 10, we are already down to about a quarter tank, while our next automatic delivery is scheduled for February 22. I was with the company. I had a full tank of furnace oil two years ago. I installed solar panels at my home two years ago; everything is electric. Home heat, water heat—everything is electric. I didn't use the furnace for two years, but on a cold day, I had to use the furnace with heat pumps because it was -30°🥶. When I turned the furnace on, after 6 hours, it stopped due to the emergency red button. On Automatic fill up for my boyfriends 91 yr old grandma. She has been a customer for years, several times now tank is reading zero before delivery. Was told on emergency fill up, they didn't come then when called again and wont even say when delivery was supposed to come. Now being told next week when was told the same day yesterday. Feels like they say whatever just to get you off the phone. Should not have to fill cans at the esso to keep the furnace from going dry. It's New Years Eve with -20 windchill and my furnace started leaking smoke into my house. I called several "local HVAC guys" and nobody could come or they were only working half day. I called Island Petroleum - whom from we get our oil delivered, and they sent a service technician after a couple hours and got it fixed up in just about an hour. I think I could have managed with electric heaters, but thankfully I won't have to. Thank you!
I have been a customer for years and recently needed oil delivered unscheduled due to a zone valve issue. I worried about my tank going dry. The company could not help a loyal customer. So unimpressed!!!
