Our senior kitty Bali wasn’t feeling well suddenly on a Friday night (as they love to plan timing for after hours). We decided to try Island Pet being closer than the ER vet. Dr. Maston clearly explained what was going on and why Bali needed extra care, so they arranged for an easy transfer to the ER vet. My second time here and it always seems like the worst day of your life when your pet is sick and you feel helpless. This is where you go to find comfort for your pet first and also reassurance for yourself. More than anything I know they love animals and they treated both my cats as precious as they are. Both times here we (the humans) were treated with compassion, despite the fact that my distress wasn’t fun to deal with. Superstars!
I can’t say enough good things about Island Pet Urgent Care. I have had to use them for a few minor situations in the past and they have been wonderful. Last month I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let my chihuahua Jack go after a medical emergency and Dr Maston and all the ladies working that night were absolutely the best in my hardest time. Having to put my 14 year old dog down was one of the hardest things I have gone through. The team at Island Pet Urgent Care showed us so much grace and kindness. They did not rush us. They made my dog feel safe and loved in her final moments, and they treated my family with deep care and respect. I am so grateful for their gentle hearts during this heartbreaking time.
