Do NOT move in here, terrible staff – I wanted to move in Island Drive Apartments but I decided not to. The reason why I made this decision is because my parents completed the application but the leasing office was not willing to process it. Since the application was completed and apparently everyone was ok, I find it unreasonable that now Island Drive asks me to provide proof that I have $21,900 in my bank account, which is more than two times one year of rent at a studio at Island Drive, and very difficult to prove taking ... read more
Don't end up learning the hard way, Don't move here if you: 1) have a car 2) plan on having company over who has a car 3) want to sub lease 4) don't like raccoons 5) want working air conditioning 6) want a reliable oven that doesn't smell strongly of gas when turned off 7) not fond of your shower randomly turning ice cold This apartment complex clearly works with Stadium Towing Company. Buyer (lessee) beware! Do not trust this company. Earlier this year Island Drive offered a 1 month free on a 10 month lease for a studio on their website. I was asked to place a $200 security deposit to reserve this rate. When it came time to sign the lease, they stated that the deal was actually for a 12 month lease and refuse to give my security deposit back. Harrassment to the tenant Island drive management is a horrible one. When I came first time from out of state very promptly the security deposit money was taken from me then later two weeks before I contacted them for making confirm the date of my arrival they told my application was not approved. Though I sent all my employment papers they lost it and after resending started making fuss for more documents. Island Drive is no island resort This apartment stinks. I moved in...was told I could park anywhere in the back lot and was towed. You have to pay for EVERYTHING despite the fact there is a sign that says free garbage disposal, free gym, and free parking. NOTHING is free and the staff are rude and nasty.
Apartments ok managers stink Managed by a very incompetant staff High turnover means that you must get every promise in writing. Numerous fees are hidden in their lease and "policies". Parking is terrible. No on site after hours maintenance and the emergency number is an answering machine. I found out the hard way after I had an electrical problem and had top go the entire weekend without power.
good quality The location of Island Drive Apartments is perfect. Very close to central campus, Fuller Park, soccer field and swimming pool. Maintenance service is good. Decent neighborhood too. The most wonderful part of it is that it is in the walking distance of both central and north campus. The only down-side is that it is kind of expensive.
