We really loved this spot - lots of charm and nostalgia! Dog friendly and full kitchen. Excellent jumping off point for all of the fun to be had in CB/Gunnison/Blue Mesa. Thank you and we will be back soon!

A $15 charge for canceling your reservation well in advance. we based our visit On the Turning of the fall leaves and we canceled almost a week in advance but we were still charge $15 for canceling because the leaves had not changed. we had planned on staying here for years to come but a $15 charge has caused us to go elsewhere.
My family and I have been coming to Island Acre since we moved away from Gunnison in the 90’s. Every year we stay here because it’s a very budget, family, and dog friendly motel. All but the cabins the the back have kitchenettes with a stove and oven. In the summer there’s little events like s’mores night where the motel puts on a small campfire and everyone makes s’mores. Nice quiet place and clean. equipped with full kitchen and all things you need to cook if you wish. If not plenty of places in town to eat. Or they have grills to cook outside too. Just in case you catch some fish at Blue Mesa or trout fish in the Gunnison or grill steaks or burger's. Have all sizes and prices of rooms. Small playground for the kiddies. Pet friendly too!! Great little retro motel. Very clean and comfy, and very reasonably priced. The office/owners were so nice!
Great place; highly recommend. Very clean rooms with a 50's cabin/resort vibe. Cool, quiet, shaded property is very relaxing, and staff is helpful. Borrow books or games from the office. Bedding seems new, and beds are comfortable. Having a kitchenette can save you a lot of money on your trip. Lovely place.
