I had a wonderful experience with Dr Yang….he was so patient and so well informed with my diagnosis, he answered all my questions, took all the time I needed and I feel so relieved to have him on my surgery team.
Dr. Yang made my husband and I very comfortable , in spite of the news we were receiving. He treats you with kindness and respect. He did an excellent job with my brain surgery. Scarring is very minimal, I went in on a Thursday and came home Sunday morning.
Dr. Yang is kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I have been seeing Dr. Yang for over a year now. He clearly explains my condition in a way I can understand and answers all of my questions. He is quick to respond to any of my needs and has even helped me after hours. My first surgery went flawlessly and as I prepare for my second I know that there is no other surgeon I’d rather place my trust in.
Dr. Yang is the most caring and knowledgeable provider I have ever had. His skill is unmatched and I could not recommend him enough.

The UCLA Neurosurgery team is like family! Dr. Yang and his surgical coordinator Brooke have changed my life. I was diagnosed with SSCD in late 2019 and had surgery to fix my left side in January. I am scheduled for my surgery on the right side later this year. They listen, they care and they make you feel important. For the longest time I thought I was crazy and would never have relief from my symptoms. So happy to have Dr. Yang and Brooke in my corner!
Dr. Yang is incredibly compassionate and highly knowledgeable. He is very reassuring and truly knows his stuff! I recommend Dr. Yang without reservation as he is one of the best doctors ever and has truly changed my life!!!! He did my craniotomy and Dr. Gopen fixed my inner ear. They are terrific surgeons and make an outstanding team!
