I moved into this apartment complex being told/thinking my rent would be $750-800 a month. I don’t think there was a single time my rent was ever that number. Between my roommate and I we each paid at least $900-1,000 a month which is ridiculous for such an old apartment complex with various problems. Don’t listen to whatever quote or deal they may give you because you will have to pay for so many additional fees/charges. Living on Douglas Street, with Urban Hive Property Management has been amazing and easy. Annie and the rest of her team have shown nothing but the utmost curiosity and respect and have made dealing with property management easy as butter. Thank you all at Urban Hive.
New management has taken over. They hand out eviction notices like candy. No warning, no email, just three days to comply or get out. It does not matter that we pay our rent on time and have done so for more than two years. Nor does it matter that their autopay system fails to accept payments at least once every quarter. The fees here are OUTRAGEOUS for late payments $400+ and THEIR system messes up payments. The gates are also broken. We need new gates with the out of control homeless population in Sugarhouse. Horrible management company
Not a security deposit, just a payment for updates and cleaning. They will take your whole security deposit no matter what you do, especially if you have a dog. Charged over $100 for a carpet cleaning fee despite the fact the carpets were spotless upon move out. They claimed this was a routine cleaning after each tenant moves out. Even though I brought up the fact that it is illegal to charge tenants for routine carpet cleaning they refused to care and wouldn’t even address the issue.
