Ironwood Cancer Center has been a great place for me. I just see a hemotologist, and he is very nice. Appointments even with the doctor are on time, which I have never experienced in a doctor's office before. When the situation was dire and I first showed up, they saw me right away. The staff have been nice and respectful. When friends from Mesa learned I was going there, they said it had a great reputation. One woman's (she is a nurse herself) daughter-in-law dealt with breast cancer surgery there, and they were very happy ... read more

Truly professional and caring staff. I always feel like I am treated like an individual and not just a patient.

Coming from Minnesota it has been an easy transition from the Mayo Clinic facility in Rochester, MN. I have been a patient at the Ironwood Cancer Center for 4 years and I am on a clinical trial for the breast cancer drug Herceptin. Mayo sends the drug while I am here for 4 months every winter and the doctor and nurses send my information back to my clinical trial coordinator. With their patient loads I have not been kept waiting and it has been a very pleasant experience for me.

The Care and Treatment Were More Than I Expected – When I was diagonsed with Stage IV colorectal cancer, I was devastated... total shock. As I'm sure you might imagine. At age 65, with a wife of 39 years, six children, and 26 grandchildren, and a competitive runner, cyclist, and triathlete, I still considered myself young and with a lot of life left. But when I got the news that the cancer had spread to my pelvis, both leg bones, lumph nodes, and my liver, and that I had only 6 to 12 months to live, it hit me like a ton of b... read more

Amazing care – I've only been there for hematology, but the staff is superb. And my doctor was voted one of the best hematologists in the Phoenix area by his peers. I've been impressed every step of the way.
