Family Friendly This is our regular restaurant because it is really kid friendly. It has a great kids menu--a few things beyond the regular chicken fingers and hot dogs. The beer is pretty good. I usually stick with sandwiches or pizza. I think their entrees are overpriced and just so so.
Some of the worst service! We got a waitress that CLEARLY did not want to be there. She barely attended our table, and when she did, she gave attitude about it. The food is pretty good, and the beer they have is delicious. Great for lunches!
Favorite restaurant in Media I have been going to Iron Hill regularly (at least once a week) for the 3.5 years that I have lived in Media, and I don't think I've ever had a bad experience. The food is always excellent, the portions are generous, the service is prompt and friendly, and the restaurant is clean (but not over-decorated). It's Okay. While the place is very clean and the price is right, the food isn't the greatest. It could be better. They do have a nice assortment of beers there that hit the spot. The staff is very nice and very attentive. Parking is a killer. PROS: CONS: PARKING
sit down resterant that serves beer. Food is just alright there, nothing to write home about. The fact that they serve beer and have beer kegs in the resterant. Not the best tasting food, but I guess they figure if you had a few beers you wouldn't notice, Not a bad price. PROS: They do serve beer with their meals. CONS: off street resterant. Look for parking.
Good Bar Food Great Beer I've eaten lunches, snacked while sampling their beers and had dinner a few times. It is a good experience. The place can get loud if crowded and the service drops off as if they understaff but when the tables are half full or a bit more the service is good. The beer selections are interesting. I enjoy popping in every few months to try the seasonal beers and ales. I'm more of an ale person so I can sample several while grazing on the bar food.
great food and beer I've been going to iron hill since I was in college. The food is great and the beer is better. It's a bit pricey for the average college student - so it keeps the whole atmosphere a bit nicer and not a typical college bar.
Outstanding Brews You cannot go to Newark and miss this great restaurant! Their selection of hand crafted beers is wide and varied. The Pig Iron Porter and Ironbound Ale are our favorites.
Great Beer, Food Used to be Better Iron Hill serves excellent beers. The food menu is varied but the quality of the food has declined in recent years. It is not that the food is bad, it just is not as good as it was when the place first opened. Go to Iron Hill for the BEER.
