Dr. Hyver's practice was extremely professional. The free consultation was in-depth and answered all my questions/concerns. Even more impressive is that Dr. Hyver was very upfront and straightforward with me. Even though I am not a candidate for Lasik or PRK, Dr. Hyver went above and beyond to help me understand why my eyes were not a good fit for refractive surgery. If my eyes were right for surgery, I would have had Dr. Hyver preform this work without a doubt.

LASIK has left my left eye chronically dry, in pain all day. I go to bed regularly way earlier than I would typically simply because my left eye is always in pain. On the other hand, PRK was great on my right eye. Wish I knew the risks better with LASIK before I went with it. LASIK is a risky procedure in my opinion that should come with more warnings with regard to the nerve damage your eye can receive.
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hyver for PRK treatment a few years back. As a physician, I wanted someone who focused only on laser corrective procedures and I had a few friends who had work with Dr. Hyver before with positive outcomes. I got Monovision LASIK done on the 27th of Dec. with Dr. Hyver and I am happy with the results beyond my expectations. Going into it I knew this was a well established procedure and it would be fine, but knowing it from what I've read and actually experiencing the difference now that it's been done still blows my mind.
