This place was an important part of my fellowship and visit to Richmond. The outdoor area became my local porch where I met several interesting people. Over a few Lions Heads colleagues became lifelong friends and the world became a smaller place. Kareoke nights were just the best. Ipanema is like a rough diamond that needs no polishing in Richmond.
The food was very good and service was excellent. Very enjoyable dining experience. Try Ipamena Cafe, you will not be disappointed.

We recently spent a week in Richmond for the UCI World's bike race. Being a vegetarian can always be a challenge when traveling in the South so imagine how pleased we were to have FABULOUS food at Ipanema . We went back several times and every time was great! The grilled Tofu is the best we have ever had!!!!! We enjoyed all the people working there. All were very nice!
