I had my first 2 C-section here, then my second 2 C-sections at bigger hospitals in Minnesota. The care at the Clarion hospital was phenomenal and notably better than what I've experienced elsewhere. The nurses were empathetic and attentive, they had massage therapists come in to give free massages, physical therapists taught about scar tissue massage and after care for the incision, the rooms were nice with private bathrooms, and the list goes on... the next two hospitals I delivered at had none of this! Very professional caring staff. -1 star just because of the waiting, spent most of my time there scrolling on my phone with an IV hooked up to nothing in my arm. Other than the long wait, absolutely exceptional experience. Smiles all around, very helpful people.
I had a hip replacement in September by Dr. Odland. The whole experience was top notch from diagnosis to surgery. Dr Odland explained everything , including the MRI pictures of my hip. The pre op meeting was professional and all questions were answered. Every nurse was so nice and caring. I was given a printed post op therapy routine to help with recovery that was easy-to-use. I would highly recommend Iowa Specialty Hospitol. Thank you!!
I had extremely high hopes for a top notch level of care based off of recommendations, and unfortunately it was the absolute most humiliating experience I’ve ever had. I was referred here for a torn ACL. My encounter started with Leslie in registration at the ER. I had a huge misunderstanding about my insurance and she humiliated me, and turned me away. I have moved to Alabama and really have missed the efficiency of office and receptionist help. I leave one star off for one ARNP who made getting a new driver's license for my husband impossible even though he didn't know him at all and must have checked off every possible rabbit hole for him to go down!! Then one mammogram tech for breast exam put so much force on that it made me get tears in my eyes and pray it would end soon. Only one, the rest were all great.
