Legal AID??? Not hardly. I try to bring attention to a realty company that is breaking the law, and they won't do a damn thing about it. "Just give in to what they want" is basically what they tell me. They won't fight for a person's rights. They are lazy. They make Alina Habba look competent by comparison. No matter how poor you are, you're better off hiring a real lawyer that the fakes they have at Iowa Legal Aid.

The first time I dealt with legal aid was due to my ex's legal matters. I ended up basically being his attorney and doing all the work. Now I need help for myself, but they won't do anything. Not even filings that would be simple for them but difficult for someone who has no experience. I will say they are always polite when they call, but overall my experiences with this organization have been disappointing.
