The customer service is friendly at the counter, but the banker at the Derby branch was terrible. I went in with a Power of Attorney to change my Mother's account from being in her name into the name or her trust. They told me the banker was out to lunch, and to come back in an hour and a half. I did. I waited about 15 minutes for my turn, then worked with the banker for 45-50 minutes until closing time. The most unfriendly and terrible customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I have two separate incidences. First of all, there was one time where I was double charged by a vendor causing my checking fee to go under. I was charged an overdraft fee. I had talked to the Manhattan branch Manager Nicole on the phone for quite some time. It seemed that it was her GOAL to make sure that this overdraft fee would not come off of my account.
