Tried renting through this company, and the customer service reps don’t appear to know anything. I thought maybe it was a third party company that books… nope! Terrible customer service. The women was very pushy about booking, saying that they would refund me afterwards… I didn’t book because I wasn’t comfortable.. thank goodness I didn’t because what she said was not accurate! Our family has been coming to Baldhead Island for approximately 30 years. we have rented through Intercoastal Realty several times. This time we booked secret of life. House near East Beach through Intercoastal.We were quoted a price for the August 17 week 2025 of $9764.76. If you read the fine print, they revealed that they can change the rates. Our stay at BHI was abbreviated on BHI in August due to a pending storm. After our departure a very small package arrived for us. II requested that it be sent me in Raleigh. After two months, Intracoastal sent it to me. Later, I received a phone call requesting $10 in postage. This is ridiculous. While it may be "policy" to have renters pay for items items left on the island, in this case it is penny wise and very pound foolish. Intracoastal should have just mailed the very small item.
