Overall our experience was positive. We were very excited to try this place with all the hype but I expected more from a Michelin star restaurant. The Maurice’s sandwich was the best thing we ate and would return just for that sandwich, the pickles and pickled onions were great, the pork belly was not very tender but they had good flavor. The short ribs were the worst thing on our plate. They had good flavor but the first rib we got was very over cooked, dry and tough. Not your typical TX BBQ place. They have unique flavors like peach tea pork belly, sadly sold out way before our turn to order but heard nothing but good things about it. The honey glazed duck leg with the meat just comes right off the bone. Brisket and pulled lamb shoulder were so tender. The sausage links here are big and packed with flavors. A must try when you're in Austin.
The carrot cake is to die for! The pork belly melts in your mouth. Sadly didn’t get brisket this round but we’ll be back!
