I would strongly recommend avoiding Genesis Property Management / Proven Property Management / Intero Real Estate at all costs. I lived for ~5 months in a condo unit they managed, and they are easily the worst property management company I’ve had across the ~10 apartments / rentals I’ve lived in. Was a tenant here and they try to scam you into paying the move-out and move-in fees even if though it is not mentioned anywhere in the lease that it’s tenants responsibility. Reject these fees and make sure your landlord isn’t a scammer. Stayed in Unit 441 at Mission Terrace and Property Management was Intero Genesis team. Also, look out for a $600 deduction on your security deposit for “paint touch ups” even though the apartment would be in perfect condition during move out because the lease says so. We worked with Mike and his company for a few years. First, he helped us rent out our house and managed the property while we worked overseas. We had a few issues with the water boiler and garage opener (which had to be exchanged), and he took care of them promptly. Two years after renting the property out, we decided to sell our house, and Mike took care of the transition from rental to the market scene with all that it entails as updates and marketing. Mike is an arrogant D bag…..scamming on renters….not renewing leases so he can raise the rent on the next round of tenants.
