I thought I had finally found a good practice but they have rules that goes against the wishes of the insurance company. They are unwilling to allow this patients to continue service because the practice refuses to allow a patient to switch doctors. The practice doesn't relate to what's best for the patient. Seeing an MD instead of a nurse practitioner should be a simply ask.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chawla’s for two years now. I didn’t want to jump in and review him after just one visit—I wanted to go through multiple cycles of care to provide a fair and objective review. It saddens me that Internists of Churchland and specifically Dr Chawla's staff have so little care and empathy when dealing with patients with a mental health crisis. Saying things like "I don't care what you want" or "your psychiatry referral expired, you have to come in again" . . . doesn't help. It's unbelievable that people dealing with suicidal thoughts and calling their primary care physician for help are met with dismissive, unemphatic staff. Disappointing. :(
Wish I could give it 0 stars. The most incompetent office I ever been to. I was scheduled to have lab work done at Bon Secours Harbor View get there and they have no orders of me having lab work.. I wasted my time going there . If you could fine another doctor's office to go to I would. Don't waste your time with them. You'll thank me
