Was traveling to CA for college and came across this phenomenal Hostel. Well priced, spacious, and a really cool boat theme. They have a great assortment of activities planned for every day off the week and did I mention the pancake breakfast bar? I will be staying here again in the future!

Stayed here in their couples room for a weekend for a convention. Friendly staff and clean beds are all I need to convince me to go back. I ate at several of the walkable restaurants, and made daily visits to the market just under two blocks down the street. Even caught their farmers market for some fresh fruit. I booked a weekene at this hostel while getting away from a really bad roommate situation. I was initially pretty shy, but there were many welcoming people that made me feel very safe and welcome. Often the hostel is a place where many lost people find each other. Or maybe you just want a great budget place to stay while you're travelling. Either way, I recommend this place highly.

Love the people and the location. Everyone is warm and welcoming and the manager Steve is outstanding. Also close to incredible public transit which can get me anywhere I want to visit and explore including access to all the beaches.
