I had an assessment done here for ADHD, and was diagnosed with Bipolar 2. When talking about my struggles and experiences, one statement got classified as "hypomania", and ADHD was out the window. I'm not a doctor but I do know my experiences and I am aware enough to know what I described was not hypomania as it is not episodic/cyclical, but instead a burst of hyper focus that stemmed from engaging in something I was interested in, and that had a deadline attached to it, which ultimately resulted in burnout.
