ISSA is a fantastic organization!! Since joining, in 2007, I have learned so much. The support from the staff is outstanding!! When I was thinking of getting my CFT, a friend referred me to ISSA and I have never regretted it.
I got certified a few months back and have not found one single gym that will accept my certification. I live in an area with tons and tons of gyms but non of them will hire a trainer with an ISSA certificate which means I'll have to go out and pay for another certification now. Pretty disappointed.
ISSA gets you ready for real life training. The case studies you have to do. Put you in real life situations. By doing the case studies ISSA makes you use there methods. To come up with a plan of attack for a client you just meet. Just like meeting someone in a gym. I recommend them very highly. Just like I said. They put you in a real scenario. Trust me the case studies werent easy. You have to really have to be very detailed. They dont like anything but really thought out programs for the subjects. They challenge you to us... read more
I've been a certified trainer / sports nutritionist through the ISSA now for almost 20 years. As a Pro Natural Bodybuilder and competitive powerlifter I always wanted to work as a trainer and the ISSA helped me achieve that dream. Their certification process is second to none and the support is great .
Do your research before signing up!!! they are not nationally recognized and many gyms in my area do not accept ISSA
The ISSA has my heart and soul. I got my first ISSA certification in 2001. I went gone on to earn my AS Exercise Science degree from the ISSA College of Exercise Science, worked as a Teacher's Assistant while I earned my Bachelor's degree, I currently serve as an Adjunct Professor for the College of Exercise Science and am the Chief Editor of the ISSA Online Blog. Our students, staff, and certified trainers are the best in the industry and it is such a pleasure to align myself with this organization.
I am an older guy who has been evolved with fitness and nutrition for over 10 years. I already have a solid foundation but because the science of the field is so rapidly evolving, I was surprised by how much new information is out there. I particularly like how ISSA does not go into depth but provides insight into some of the newer techniques like crossfit and the like. My biggest take away from this course is in knowing that it's just the starting point. Furthering education is imperative in our field. Congrats to everyone ... read more
I am so proud of my brother, Dr. Fred Hatfield, and Dr. Sal Arria for bringing this company to where it is now. What a great achievement and legacy.
Finally. The study is over for a while. I want to thank you ISSA ( International Sports Science Association) for giving me a chance to achieve there incredible knowledge for personal fitness, to help people with there health and goals in fitness. Hard work is done , knowledge is much higher because of ISSA support. I want especially thanks to special people from ISSA Mr Reggie Roberts , Frank Miele , Lizette Rubio for there support . Hope keep going with you fellows in future as well. regards Oto
