I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience trying to get help with my 2024 tax return and EV tax credit at this IRS office. I visited during one of the advertised “open days” where no appointment was required, only to be turned away right at opening and told that no one in the office could help and that I needed to go to another location. My partner and I have been to this office and other offices three times trying to get an Amended tax return revised from the previous year. We went in on the days that is suppose to be "no appointment needed", got turned away. Made an Appointment, waited a month and now you cancel it without reason. It has been over a year. Tried filing first week they were accepting returns. The day they began accepting mine was rejected. Someone else already did for me. I know it's all automated, and I know how to develop automation. It makes no sense that they accepted the wrong one and sent my return, and the same day already knew (through the same automation) not to accept mine and to let me know of id theft. I got an IP pin.
