Dr. Jalazo was a valued practitioner within this medical group/practice while I was his patients since 2021. Since his well deserved retirement, the transference of his patients to fellow physicians within the same practice has been disorderly, time consuming, and disruptive to my healthcare. He acknowledged his retirement at the end of May 2023 and I am now waiting until October to be seen by an NP, as the physicians are booked into 2025 as I am now considered to be “a new patient”.
Suddenly, without warning, upon requesting the ordinary pain management refill for Dad as always has been routine, the patient now gets a pop-up referral to some pain management place. Pain management is not rehab services - they do not provision for withdrawals. Many here have been treated well for 35+ years and deserve better - this has been a largely geriatric practice. Upon the retirement of one doc, WVU is using a gateway that dumps its patients. Hippocratic oath anyone?
