They have always been ready to fix any power outage! For instance; Today 7/22, we had an extreme lightning bolt hit near our house in highland lakes and within 50 minutes they found the problem and yay power
If CORE is your electric company you better have, battery backup or a generator. Power goes out 5-10 times a year and takes half the day to two days to fix. Hope your house has a wood stove so you don't freeze.
I put in a work order to go from 100 amp service to 200 amp service.A linesman came out to look at the size of the line and transformer. He said the line was to small and would need to be changed. I asked is the transformer good to go up to 200 amps and he said the office knows but couldn't say anything. Its been around 2 months and they assign a Engineer to my order. Establishing new service in the area and it couldn't have been easier or quicker. I hope that this is indicative of ongoing service.
Shamefully greedy company. They monopolize the fact that they are the only company available. They quoted me $25-$35k to bring power to our lot. I built the house next door with an almost identical situation in 2021 (with IREA) and paid under $10k. I asked for itemized expenses and they are charging over $13k in labor for an install that I'm sure will take 2-3 ppl 1 day or less to complete.
