I had to have an ultrasound on my leg to see if the swelling was due to blood clot or something else. Doctor Tom is the best; he was kind, compassionate and put my fears to rest. He ordered the ultrasound stat and said he would talk with me after the US. When I saw him next he said the Eliquis that I was on was doing its job, I didn't have a blood clot, but I did have an infection in my leg and he put me on antibiotics.
