Went to the ER with severe chest pain and shortness of breath. They dismissed me, diagnosing it as a cold and psychological. When I got a second opinion I was diagnosed with bronchitis. This was not the first time I’ve been treated poorly in the ER. I have chronic illness and my entire life I’ve been ignored, dismissed, and gaslit by doctors at IHC.
Very disappointed in how the billing department runs things. I applied for financial assistance and waited over 7 months for a response. Every couple weeks they wouod ask for different information and I would comply and give it to them. Finally I received a notice that the bill would go to collections if I did not pay it within 31 days. I told the billing department they needed to let mw know if i would receive help before that time. They said they would ensure j had an answer before then. They did not.
