Had a truly awful and negligent experience with Dr. McFarland here, with multiple issues across just a few appointments. They tried to “start” me on a medication , despite me already taking 4x the amount (prescribed by my Intermed PCP, so it was in their system). I was also told I’d need to do medicated IUI before IVF, which isn’t true according to both my insurance and my current (excellent) infertility doctor. Was told testing hormones is pointless because they "change all the time". After experiencing painful and unusual periods. This was from a MD. Got a good primary care doctor that did hormone testing at a specific point in my cycle. Revealed that was the issue! High estrogen not balanced by progesterone. If you want root cause analysis and personalized care do NOT go here. Total waste of time.
Dr. Leavitt and her staff are top notch!! In fact all interactions I had at Intermed Women’s health were always pleasant. I was hesitant to use a larger health system as I have not always had the best experiences with them, but I am SO glad I gave intermed a chance. Dr.Leavitt truly cares about her patients, She listens to what you have to say and addresses any concerns with your wants/needs in mind. Dr. Pelletier and the entire office are outstanding. They are easily accessible, respectful, and have made me feel totally comfortable. This practice is a bright light in the dim avenues of medical care. I am so glad that Dr. Pelletier and her practice are so nearby.
